Photochemical or Photoinitiated Polymerizations occur when radicals
are produced by light absorption. Photoinitiation of polymerization
offers significant practical advantages: (1) Photoinitiation can be
spatially directed and turned on or off simply by turning the light
source on or off. (2) The photoinitiation rates can be controlled
by a combination of the radicals source, light intensity and
temperature. (3) Photoinitiation can avoid chemical contamination
by initiator residues in many cases.
Video on Demand (VoD) applications are used to deliver different
video files to many users. In recent years, VoD applications are
widely used for many types of networks with different
organizations. Due to the development of computing resources,
communications, data storage, and presentations' methods as video
websitesa user can select and show any video file from huge sets of
videos at any time. Users can share their resources by using
peer-to-peer file sharing or streaming across a network instead of
using classical centralized video server. So a limited number of
video servers will be required to provide the main service for
users. The idea of P2P system is to use computer to computer data
transmission not a traditional client server application. P2P
applications share different resources as storage, content or any
resources available between users. The resources are not
centralized but are distributed across the network. P2P is an
unpredictable environment for content delivery. The Book is
relevant for anyone involved in video streaming using P2P
bitTorrent networks development and scientafic research.
This book disscused the occupational exposure to metal dust
particularly, Aluminium and Iron and its diverse effects on the
lung.Dysplasia was detected in four individuals, all of them were
cases particularly iron workers. Notably, there were 168
individuals with metaplasia, of whom, 77(59%) were identified among
cases and the remaining 91(58%) were among controls, in the cases,
metaplastic cells were found in Iron workers and 11 in Aluminum
workers. In respect to the presence of human papilloma virus, 18
were found in cases (17 in Iron, 1 in Aluminum) and 8 in controls.
Inflammatory cells were present in 182 individuals of whom 96 (74%)
were cases and the rest of them were controls (43%), Infltration in
iron workers were found three times countervailed in Aluminum
workers. Presence of bacteria and moniliasis were found higher in
cases than in controls particularly Iron workers. All these
findings and changes regarding to their relation with exposure to
iron and Aluminum were found statistically significant.
Many anterior teeth that require post retained restorations are
severely weakened due to caries extending into the radicular
dentine. In some cases, secondary caries around pre-existing posts
may further complicate the matter. Other cases may involve necrotic
young permanent teeth with large canal space prior to the
completion of root formation. Other less common conditions include
developmental anomalies such as fusion and germination, internal
resorption and iatrogenic damage resulting in large access
preparations. The resulting large, flared root canals with thin
dentinal walls are too weak to withstand normal masticatory forces
and prone to fracture. Such teeth may also have insufficient
coronal tooth structure and give problem to the restorative
dentist. There is two suggested methods for restoration of weakened
roots canals which were conventional and intraradicular
reinforcement methods. This book will elaborate on the
intraradicular reinforcement methods
Charge pumps are widely used in thermoelectric scavenging systems
to increase the thermoelectric generator output voltage to a
suitable voltage that can supply the standard integrated circuit.
Threshold voltage cancellation (Vt cancellation) scheme is applied
to cancel the threshold drop associated with each diode-connected
device and improve charge pump performance. Applying this scheme by
using the next stage higher voltage is presented. Improving the
output stage using this scheme is also presented. Simulations are
performed using TSMC 0.25 m CMOS technology in Spectre(r)
Computers play an important role in Scientific Computing. Many new
fields of science have emerged because of the invention and
development of the computer. Solving parametric linear systems,
involving uncertainties in the parameters, is an important part of
the solution to many scientific and engineering problems. Usually,
in most engineering design problems, models in operational
research, linear prediction problems, there are complicated
dependencies between coefficients. The main reason for this
dependency is that the errors in several different coefficients may
be caused by the same factor. For this reason, the interval
analysis will be the tool which we will use for solving this type
of problems. Interval methods (validated methods) not only can
determine such guaranteed error bounds on the true solution, but
can also verify that a unique solution to the problem exists.
In recent years, the world has seen an increasing interest in the
study of medicinal plants as crude source for cure and
physiotherapy of numerous diseases. In this book, it came in the
first place, the separation and purification of the compounds and
elucidating their chemical and stereochemical compositions. Also,
studying of these plants, will emphasis the relation between the
chemical constituents and the medicinal uses and discovering the
natural of compounds responsible for that medical effect.
Industrially, the Egyptian medical market included a very limited
number of Egyptian drugs formed either from extracts of herbal
medical plants (such as Mepaco herbs for kidney), or from isolated
compounds of plant source (such as Daflon and Silymarin). This is
in contrast with European markets. There is an important technique
to use the extracts of the plants as (Euphorbia guyoniana). It has
been reported that the majority of synthetic drugs have side
effects. These compounds were used as natural source of drugs
instead of the synthetic drugs. The analysis should help scientist,
pharmacist researcher, and anyone interested in field of natural
products chemistry or pharmacognosy
It is a long saga of very brave and simple but intelligent folk who
lived on this island. It was more of a paradise than a piece of land
trapped with water. They beautifyied it with their vivid
imagination. They managed to live with its beasts and even love
them. The animals of the island formed the rich material they drew
on to concoct their elaborate folk tales that remained for
generations. Thanks to storytelling that elongated their folk
memory.
It is a polytonal story with wide range of people who fell victims
to harsh social and ethnic practices. Prof. Mastura was foremost
among those who suffered much being from an ethnic minority,
however emerged victorious finally and regained belief in herself.
She even helped others to look down upon denigration, fight boldly
all sorts of self-abasement and march up the slopes of progress
with unfaltering steps.
I obtained my master degree of Science in Cell Biology and
Histology and particularly in developmental-biology and -physiology
field in 2005. During this degree, I mainly worked on developing
rat CNS during perinatal period. I subsequently obtained my PhD
degree in Embryology and Comparative Anatomy and particularly in
developmental-neuroendocrinology and -physiology field in 2009. I
studied the interactions between the different states of thyroid
hormones and rat brain development during the perinatal period. I
gained a remarkable experience in different biochemical and
histological techniques and especially in the analysis of
vertebrate brain morphology. Generally, I published several
international papers and books. Therefore I also have a strong
background in endocrinology and a more specific expertise in
thyroidology. Generally, I am member and reviewer in several
international societies, organizations and journals. However, my
experimental work will not improve accordingly due to the lack of
grants to reach the highest objectives. Thus, I am searching for a
postdoctoral place, in developmental thyroid-brain axis, develop my
individual skills and enhance my career prospects.
Mobile Information Communication Technologies Adoption in
Developing Countries: Effects and Implications reviews different
approaches and methodologies used in dealing with issues related to
mobile ICTs, presents successful examples mobile ICT adoption in
developing countries, and addresses the impact of culture on mobile
ICT adoption and deployment. The diverse coverage of mobile
information communication technologies adoption in developing
countries presented in this book will contribute to a better
understanding of all topics, research, and discoveries in this
developing, significant field of study.
The present investigation was performed to evaluate the effect of
acid pretreatment, bonding condition (wet or dry dentin) and the
application technique (single application or double application)on
resin/dentin bond strength and the morphology of the resin/dentin
interface using two self-etching adhesive systems. The results
showed that the type of the adhesive had a significant effect on
the resin/dentin shear bond strength, followed by dentin condition.
Four Middle Eastern comics, Ahmed Ahmed, Aron Kader, Maz Jobrani,
and Dean Obeidallan help to further the cause of East-West
relations by bringing their own brand of stand up to an American
